Not Sure What 2 Get 4 Holiday Presents?

I know you probably were waiting for this post. I always seem to come around in a holiday and tell you to “Buy Fair Trade”. Well, its true.

Your money can work even harder, and you really do get more bang for your buck when buying Fair Trade.

That’s not the total reason for my post. I have to admit, I have an ulterior motive.

Facebook has this thing where you can Make A Holiday Wish. So I did.

I wish for Donations to come pouring in to Help Womens Future Benefit.

When people make donations to our Cause, 100% is used for the clients/work that we do. We are totally volunteer and have the GuideStar Partners in Trust Seal, so that proves we’re honest!

I’m sure that you get a whole lot of people with their hands out, and your mail box, both physical and virtual, is stuffed with donation solicitations.

Remember, you came looking for me on this blog, I didn’t bug you!

Therefore, you Must Donate now that you read this and know that its the right thing to do!

Besides, when you make this donation, you can give it as a gift for someone:

BLESSED R THE GREEDY

Not to dampen the Happy Holiday Spirit, I wanted to post this video I just made.

I have wanted to make this for the longest time, and now its here.

I am so sick of reading about exploitation, sweatshops, trafficking and other such offenses. The first time I heard this song, about a year ago, I swore I would do it justice by making a video that illustrates how global economic greed is destroying the poorest in the world.

The Millennium Development Goals are almost upon us. Is the world any better? It seems to me that the rich are still getting richer, and the poorest are suffering even more.

Yes, there is a lot that must be done, and even more issues to deal with, but is that accomplished by fancy overpriced meetings?

Why am I telling you this? Well, in the holiday season, you are a very important component of the greed-mongers. You Must Buy A Lot!!! They might get ‘poor’ if you don’t by that sweater or shirt made in their sweatshop and marked up 100%.

Think before you buy, not just for your wallet, but for ethics. That’s why I’m telling you this.
